19 Best Practices for Webinars or Webcasts

webinar best practices Jul 24, 2021

Delivering high-engagement webinars and web meetings can be difficult.

People want to be educated or entertained. If neither is readily apparent in your delivery then you won't keep their attention.

If your content and delivery are not in sync with your prospects’ needs and expectations, you risk losing them as clients. If your webinar is boring or too long, you may lose prospects as they click off and on to something that is more interesting to them.

And, if you don’t include appropriate calls-to-action at the right time, you may not get the ROI engagement you expected.

Want to be successful as a webinar host? Hubspot's Ivelisse Rodriguez recommends these 19 best practices and tips for hosting successful webinars that will up your ROI:

  1. Create a short sentence with your value proposition.
  2. Craft a subject line that shows the value of the event.
  3. Include an engaging banner image.
  4. Include a header that makes your event’s value clear.
  5. Include a brief description of the event.
  6. Include a list of bullet points telling people what they’ll learn.
  7. Seal the deal with a call-to-action button.
  8. Schedule your webinar for 60 minutes.
  9. Host it on Wednesday or Thursday at 10 AM or 11 AM.
