Google Rolls Out Page Experience

seo smart marketing Sep 12, 2021

Google makes several algorithm changes per day on average, with most of them being very small.

It’s a lot to keep up with, but there are a couple of things that are worth doing to make your sites rank higher.

The first is link building, where another site links to yours.

They say the more of these links you have, the higher you tend to rank in Google. But some SEO experts are noticing lately that because of shifts in the algorithm, you don’t need a ton of links anymore to potentially rank your site.

What you do need, however, is something called Page Experience.

This is a new and large algorithm update that finished happening in late August of 2021.

Essentially Google is now looking at the users’ experience on your site. Are these users looking at content and going to multiple pages? Or are they clicking the back button and going to the next results in the search engine because they didn’t find what they were looking for on your site?

Your job isn’t to optimize for the latest Google algorithm. Remember, these algorithm changes happen at the rate of several per day.

Rather, your job is to optimize for user experience. If you succeed in this, you’ll rank better.
